Reconstituted Turquoise from Tibet, 6 mm. Approximately 15 1/2 inches long strand.

What is reconstituted turquoise? Is it fake? Yes and no. When cutting real turquoise, they collect and save the particulate lost when cutting turquoise, and using a mold, high pressure and a binder, they essentially make a bead from the dust of real turquoise. So it's in a sense man-made, but using natural materials. Neat!
